  • Phone number — to send SMS alerts (optional; only if you choose SMS)
  • Business name and EIN — for business accounts (EIN is stored but not verified)
  • License information — which licenses you've asked us to monitor (license number, board, type)

We do not collect payment information, social security numbers, or any personal health data beyond what is publicly available on the Ohio eLicense portal.

  • To send license expiry notifications via email and/or SMS
  • To verify your contact information via one-time codes
  • To look up license data from the Ohio eLicense portal on your behalf
  • To operate and improve our service

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Sources

License data is sourced from the public Ohio eLicense portal operated by the State of Ohio (elicense.ohio.gov). This data is publicly available. We do not create or modify license records.

By providing your phone number or email and verifying it, you consent to receive license expiry notifications from OhioLicenseCheck.com. Message frequency varies based on your alert preferences. Standard message and data rates may apply for SMS.

We retain your contact information and subscription records for as long as you have active subscriptions. When you unsubscribe or request removal, your data is deactivated. You may request complete deletion by contacting us at privacy@ohiolicensecheck.com.

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Contact information is stored securely in an encrypted database. API keys are hashed and never stored in plain text.
